Exhilarating bike tour of the Dutch Countryside.
This was the best thing that we did in our week in Amsterdam. ...
it was a fantastic day that we will cherish always. It was worth every penny and would have paid more.

A very unusual guest: cycling more than 600 km on a high wheel bicycle.

Exploring the Amsterdam countryside :
We were a group of six, four adults and two teens. We had a lovely time. Edmond is very kind and knowledgeable.
We highly recommend this tour. It was so much fun, we learned a lot of history while enjoying the incredible beauty of the countryside.
Would love to go again.
A family bike tour in the countryside :
This was by far our favorite tour in The Netherlands. All 4 of our children ages 20, 19, 17 and 13 felt this tour was perfect.
This was truly the perfect tour to get an authentic snapshot into Dutch living and the local countryside.

On an early summer countryside bike tour :
He made sure to cover all aspects of our tour. I am a vegetarian so he made sure that the lunch was something that I would like.
All of his planning resulted in a perfect day for us. We got to see our mix of history, beautiful countryside, a wonderful Dutch town, and of course, windmills.

On a springtime bike tour :
The information, provided during this tour, covers different historical periods, and would be of interest to anybody, who is interested in history.
We would highly recommend this tour, are very grateful to Edmond for one of the best days in our lives.

On a bike tour along fortified Naarden :
When we visit Amsterdam again, Edmond's tour will be at the top of our list.

On a multi-day tour :
This is very different from a bike tour with a company where one is with a group of folks one does not know and a set itinerary despite possibly not wanting to be locked into a time table or number of nights. We ourselves prefer a more leisurely pace to take in all of the scenery but Edmond can accommodate whatever you prefer. Also, Edmond's rates are less than the tours we are familiar with and well worth the price.

Personalized countryside bicycle tour :
He is such a pleasure to work with and was so responsive to our emails in planning the trip. He is also flexible in planning the route, based on your biking ability and time you want to spend. We chose an all day bike trip since it was so reasonable for a personalized tour.

On a Leiden and Amsterdam history walk :
We particularly liked our Leiden tour. Leiden is much more relaxing than Amsterdam. Leiden also allows you to leisurely explore historical sites that is not always possible to do in Amsterdam.

On an autumn countryside bike tour :
... We would recommend anyone who has interest in the history, nature & landscape and culture of the Netherlands to take a tour with you. ...
... the generous lunch box with rolls made from flour from the windmill we visited, fruit, drinks, sandwiches, and cookies was delicious ...

On an Amsterdam walk and a two day bike tour :
We spend a half day with Edmond in Amsterdam, then a full day biking in the countryside. All details taken care of from train tickets to my gluten free lunch to bicycle rentals and chatting over coffee at his place. ....
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our visit to the Netherlands an incredibly beautiful experience!

I don't think I've ever been able to see such sights and have such varied experiences in the course of one day. Edmond was extremely informative and engaging and highly invested in our having a great bike experience.

We decided on a full day bicycle ride and a general description of what we would do; we were interested in riding in the country, we like wildlife, and were interested in seeing some windmills. We could not have been happier with the experience.

Edmond was skilled at pacing our group, stopping just when we need it to offer a delicious snack and a story or two. The trip felt relaxed, and yet we saw a great deal of scenery and really got a good feeling for the countryside.

Simply put, it was a wonderful experience that combined cycling, history and nature in exploration of the Amsterdam countryside. It was the highlight of my trip ...
Edmond was like a private chef creating dinner from scratch using the best seasonal ingredients.

Bill Kemp, from Austin, Texas, visited Holland with his wife Paula.
He published an article in International Travel Magazine on their experiences, which included a Leiden walk and a bike trip in the countryside.
The city (Leiden) is so ancient that many of the sights were difficult to locate on the narrow streets and alleys, which were
laid out in a haphazard manner. It would have taken us a lot of time to figure out the layout of the city, but Edmond was able to lead us efficiently
from one sight to another.

On their full day countryside bike tour :
We were tired, but the effort was well worthwhile.
We had seen so many different things in one day, getting a different perspective of the Netherlands.

A full day car tour, reviewed by Gail Huisking from North Carolina, USA.
A tour into the reclaimed land of the former Southern Sea. Going north, along flowering tulip fields to the little town of Giethoorn. Preceded by a short walk in the old centre of Amsterdam.
My niece & I had taken an Amsterdam city tour by both bus & canal boat, but we learned far more from Edmond than in both of those put together, & thoroughly enjoyed our walk. ...
He had emailed me asking about our interests, as we had time to do other things besides Giethoorn.
We saw a variety of pretty scenery & places of interest, learned a lot about Holland's history & the polders & dikes, & so much more. ...
I can honestly say that our day with Edmond was the best of our entire 2 week trip.

A very enjoyable and memorable bike outing. The windmill stop was a real highlight. The
ride through the small towns and canal bridge crossings was very charming.
Edmond takes
a real interest and pride in his work and interacted in the most warmth and friendly manner.
To sample Amsterdam's countryside I have absolutely no hesitation recommending bike
outing with Edmond.

We enjoyed very much our bike tour through Weesp and Muiden, seeing the mills and riding along the river with the beautiful Dutch "boat" houses.
Edmond was a wonderful guide providing us with a special "touch" of Dutch history rendering the ride even better.
Great choice !

I'm so pleased to have stumbled on your website, as I'm sure I couldn't have found a better tour anywhere else.
Thank you again, for the wonderful day and all the interesting information on Holland and its history.

We enjoyed Weesp. It is a pretty town and the surrounding area is full of history - not just from the war(s) but about how people have managed the land and water to build their lives off the land.
This trip will be remembered as not just a trip to Holland, but an experience of Holland as I've always believed the people make the place not the other way around. We were very fortunate to have made your acquaintance.
L.H. - London, UK
We loved meeting your family, seeing the windmill, eating lunch on the sea dike and trying to paint the beautiful dutch sky.
Thank you for a wonderful bike trip. We certainly would recommend your tour to anyone.

Thanks for all the tips. ... It was a wonderful time. Lucky you to live there !
H.C. - Lisbon, Portugal
Thank you for two wonderful days together. We thoroughly enjoyed your company and the information you shared with us and the delightful food and treats. Few tourists get to experience and see what we did.
The bike rides were awesome, even though we were a little saddle sore after the last ride. But I'll have to get back into shape, that's all.
We thought that the money we spent on these very personalized day trips was worth every single cent.
C.H. - Indiana, USA
We were just looking over photos with my mother and the kids repeatedly named our tour with you as a trip highlight. Castles and windmills and ice cream, all noteworthy.
I really don't know of any other tour or vacation activity I've done that was anything like that. The scenery, the great guiding, getting to know the land and the history -- very memorable.
A.B. - California, USA
The 2 trips have been very pleasant and enjoyable. The sunshine and exercises did provide us a good excuse for some good food in Amsterdam.
Thank you very much for organizing the trips.
I will visit your web site regularly which will remind me of the nice and serene countryside of Weesp.
S.K.K. - Hongkong, China
Your Amsterdam tour was a real highlight of my trip, and I plan on returning to see more of that beautiful city.
J.G. - Oregon, USA
The Amsterdam tour was wonderful! Edmond was flexible and tried to individualize as much as possible.
A.B.M. - Georgia, USA
We spent several more days in the city on our own, knowing what we were seeing and feeling comfortable navigating on our own. Your introduction gave so much more depth to our understanding of Holland - its history and its people.
